ILLUMINATE YOUR HEART YOGA
“The combination of yoga poses, and the breath illuminates the heart and creates a path to health and inner peace.”
Anna Lucatorto holds both a bachelor's and a master’s degree in health administration. While pursuing her graduate studies, she discovered yoga and quickly recognized its powerful impact on her overall well-being. Through regular practice, Anna found a way to support her body, calm her mind, and uplift her spirit.
What continues to move her most is the feeling yoga sparks in her heart. It brings a deep sense of clarity, connection, and peace. This powerful inner shift inspired her to teach, and she is passionate about helping others experience their own personal growth through yoga.
Anna is a 200-hour RYT-certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance. She completed her training in Ashtanga yoga at the Little Yoga House in Wantagh, New York. Since earning her certification in 2013, she has shared yoga in a wide range of settings including work with trauma survivors, seniors, corporate professionals, law enforcement personnel, and fitness communities.
In 2025, Anna completed a certification in barre instruction and created Barre and Breath, her signature class. This barre-less barre experience focuses on strengthening the legs, core, arms, and improving balance while integrating mindful breathwork. Designed to build both strength and presence, this full-body class brings together movement and breath without the use of a ballet barre.
Today, Anna specializes in modern yoga, offering classes that blend tradition with creativity to meet students exactly where they are.
Anna’s teaching is rooted in compassion, creativity, and genuine connection. Her thoughtful sequencing, welcoming energy, and care for each student shine through in every class she leads.
Her experiences on and off the mat led her to develop and trademark Illuminate Your Heart Yoga, a mission-driven approach that helps others reconnect with their inner selves and live in alignment with the intentions of their spirit.
Anna lives with her husband and their four-year-old daughter, whose early interest in yoga brings new joy and meaning to her personal practice. One of her guiding inspirations is the quote by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois:
“Practice, and all is coming.”
She lives by this truth in her teaching, in her parenting, and in her own lifelong journey of growth and discovery.
